WHEN JESUS STOOD IN PLACE OF THE FATHER FOR US

John 10  My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they
shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater
than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one."

John 14 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many
rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and
prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You
know the way to the place where I am going." Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are
going, so how can we know the way?" Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one
comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From
now on, you do know him and have seen him." Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough
for us." Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time?
Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, `Show us the Father'? Don't you
believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own.
Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father
and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. I tell you the truth,
anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even
greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so
that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. "If you
love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to
be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows
him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to
you.

A FATHER CAN BE TRUSTED
A FATHER ALWAYS FINDS A WAY TO PROVIDE
A FATHER NEVER LEAVES
A FATHER LAYS DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS OWN

Isaiah 9:6-7
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And
he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne
and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time
on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

1Cor. 8:6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and
there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

1John 2:23 No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the
Father also.

JESUS CAME TO BE A FATHER TO US

I Corinthians 15: 22-28 For as in
Adam all die, so in Christ all will be
made alive. But each in his own turn:
Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he
comes, those who belong to him.
Then the end will come, when he
hands over the kingdom to God the
Father after he has destroyed all dominion,
authority and power. For he
must reign until he has put all his enemies
under his feet. The last enemy
to be destroyed is death. For
he "has put everything under his feet."
Now when it says that "everything"
has been put under him, it is clear that
this does not include God himself,
who put everything under Christ.
When he has done this, then the Son
himself will be made subject to him
who put everything under him, so that
God may be all in all.

THE STINGER  (insert story here)

Ephesians1:1-22
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints in Ephesus, the
faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly
realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the
world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his
sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will--  to the praise of his
glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.  In him we have redemption
through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace  that he
lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. And he made known to us the mystery of
his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ,  to be put into effect
when the times will have reached their fulfillment –to bring all things in heaven and on
earth together under one head, even Christ. In him we were also chosen, having been
predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose
of his will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his
glory. And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your
salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a
deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession --to
the praise of his glory. For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and
your love for all the saints,  I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my
prayers.  I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you
the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.  I pray also that the eyes of
your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you,
the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,  and his incomparably great power for us who
believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when
he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far
above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not
only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his
feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the
fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
